Ice cream cone cakes

  • 4oz self-raising flour

  • 4oz caster sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 4oz butter/margarine

  • 12 flat-bottomed ice cream cones.

  • 2 eggs beaten


  1. If you have an electric mix, sift the flour and then add in all of the cake ingredients together into a bowl and mix. If you're doing by hand, cream the butter and sugar first then add in half the flour, the beaen eggs one by one and then the remainder of the flour and baking powder.
  2. Fill each cone about three quarters full. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180C until golden and soft to touch.
  3. Once cooled decorate with icing and sprinkles. Great for parties.

Handy Hint

Fab to make when you have run out of cake wrappers. Use a deeper muffin tin if you have one to keep the cones upright whilst baking.
