  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 300ml water

  • 500g strong bread flour

  • 7g yeast (fast acting)


  1. Put the flour, salt and yeast into a bowl. Add the oil and water.
  2. Mix well. Knead the dough until very smooth.
  3. Place in an oiled bowl and leave to rise for 1 hour or overnight in the fridge.
  4. Knock back the dough and make your shapes (plaits, cobs, cottage etc).
  5. Place them on an oiled baking sheet and leave to double in size.
  6. Cook at 220C for 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!

    it will make a change to do this with LOs rather than the usual biscuit and cake recipes
