1 tsp turmeric

30g ginger chopped small

1/2 tsp cumin

1 clove garlic chopped small

1 tsp coriander

1 tin chickpeas

1 pinch chilli powder or fresh
Method
- Put the chickpeas into a saucepan.
- Add other ingredients.
- Cook gently for a few minutes, stirring.
- Mash some of the chickpeas against the back of a wooden spoon with a fork so the whole lot goes a bit sloppy.
Handy Hint
Put some rice on first, it will take longer than the curry. If you're cooking for young children and concerned about salt, probably best to pour away the tin liquid, rinse, and add some plain water to the rinsed chick peas.
