  • 120ml oil (vegetable or sunflower)

  • 415ml milk

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 2 eggs seperated

  • 200g plain flour


  1. Put everything apart from the egg whites into a jug and mix well.
  2. In a different bowl, whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks. Then fold the egg whites gently into the batter.
  3. Cook, eat.

Handy Hint

Use cake release or similar in the waffle iron.

    This recipe makes really light waffles. You can keep the batter in the fridge overnight, but the waffles don't rise as well the following day.
