  • 1 onion

  • 1 chicken carcass

  • 1 handful pearl barley

  • 2-3 potatoes peeled and diced

  • 1 handful vegetables cooked


  1. Boil carcass with onion for 45 minutes, drain and keep stock and onion.
  2. Pick meat from carcass and add to stock.
  3. Add potatoes, veg and pearl barley. (If not many left over veg add what you have in fridge - carrot, parsnips good).
  4. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 mins. Cool and liquidise

Use any combination of veg
Can make into cream of chicken soup if add single cream
