  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 chicken breast cooked

  • 1 handful frozen peas cooked

  • 1 egg beaten

  • 170g rice cooked


  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the cooked rice, cooked chicken and peas and keep moving in the wok until they are hot.
  2. Move the rice mixture to one side in the wok. Add the beaten egg to the space in the wok and stir while it cooks until it resembles scrambled egg.
  3. Mix the egg in with the rice, chicken and peas and serve.

Handy Hint

Always make sure you add the egg to a clear space in the wok or it will make the fried rice soggy. Can also be made with prawns and any other cooked vegetables.

    This rice was lovely and very easy to make! I'm lazy so to save on time and washing up I cooked the rice and peas in the same saucepan at the same time as they were going to be getting mixed in together anyway! I didn't bother with any chicken but instead included some onion salt and cayenne pepper to give the dish some more flavour,but it would have been perfectly nice without these!

    Looks good and could be easily spiced up with soy sauce and chilli sauce for grown ups
