Branston lovers tea recipe

  • 3 slices orange

  • 1 slice lemon

  • 500ml boiling water

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 bunch large celery stick celery leaves

  • 4 slices large apple

  • 1 bag tea fruit or hibiscus tea bags

  • 1 bag black tea


  1. Mix all ingredients and add hot water before allowing to steep in the teapot for approximately 5 – 7 minutes. Strain the mixture into a cup.
  2. IMPORTANT STEP: add 2 heaped tea spoons of Branston Smooth Pickle
  3. To serve hot, serve immediately in small teacups or shot glasses and sip with a cheese and pickle sandwich.
  4. To serve iced, leave to infuse for longer till cooled. Add ice and serve in a long glass with a stick of celery for an interesting savoury iced tea option.
