Easy microwave white sauce

  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

  • 50g butter

  • 500ml full fat milk

  • 50g plain white flour


  1. Melt the butter in a pyrex jug.
  2. Add the flour and mix.
  3. Whisk in the milk bit by bit.
  4. Microwave on medium power. Keep taking it out to whisk it again. Watch it like a hawk so it doesn't explode all over the microwave.

Handy Hint

Add grated cheese and mustard to taste, once made, to turn this into cheese sauce
