  • 500g plain flour

  • 7g Instant dried yeast

  • 7g Salt

  • 28g Butter

  • 350ml Water


  1. Pre heat your oven to 230C, 450F, Gas Mark 8.
  2. Mix the flour and salt together, rub in the butter and then stir in the yeast. Mix to a soft dough by hand.
  3. Knead for 10 mins by hand on a floured surface. Cover and rest the dough for 5 mins.
  4. Shape the dough and put it in a greased 2lb tin. Cover with a damp tea towel and put in a warm place until doubled in size.
  5. Bake in an oven for 35 mins. Enjoy!
