250g gruyère cheese
1 splash lemon juice
1 knob butter/spread
6 slices ham
4 chicory heads
- Cook the chicory whole in butter on very low heat, covered, with a sprinkle of lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- When they're cooked - around 30 minutes - roll each one of them into a slice of ham.
- Put them in a dish that goes in the oven and spread some gruyere (or cheddar) over them. 4. Add the cooking juice on top and let the cheese melt in the oven for a further 10 minutes. It's yummy!
