  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 4oz plain white flour

  • 1 splash water

  • 2oz butter or margarine


1.Put the flour into a medium sized bowl and rub in the butter with your fingertips and mix to a stiff paste(with a splash of water).

  1. Turn it onto a floured board and roll it out thinly. Prick it and cut into rounds.
  2. Place the biscuits on a tray and bake in a moderate oven till crisp (about 10 mins).
