  • 1/4 pints milk

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 2oz margarine

  • 8oz Self raising flour

  • 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda


  1. First off you need to mix all of the dry ingredients together
  2. Rub together to form a breadcrumb mix
  3. Add the milk and mix lightly to a spongy dough
  4. Knead the dough and roll it out to 1/2 inch thick
  5. Use a 2” round cutter to cut out your scones, brush with milk
  6. Put in the oven (220 degrees) and cook for about 10 minutes
  7. Cool scones on a cooling rack
