  • 1 olive oil

  • 2 tins chopped tomato

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 onion

  • 1 pinch chilli flakes


  1. Chop onion and garlic and fry in a saucepan in a glug of olive oil until soft.
  2. Add tinned tomatoes to the pan, simmer until the reduced.
  3. Using a hand blender, whizz until nearly smooth
    add chilli flakes. Serve over pasta or chicken

Handy Hint

Once the basic sauce is made you can add anything you like to it, such as spinach and ricotta cheese, any veg or mozzarella. This also makes a good pizza sauce.
