Lamb shanks in red wine and rosemary

  • 1 medium onion

  • 2 tbsp seasoned flour

  • 1 lamb stock cube

  • 2 lamb shanks

  • 4 sprigs rosemary

  • 175ml red wine


  1. Coat the lamb shanks with the seasoned flour and fry in a little oil or to seal and brown.
  2. Add to the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the wine into the pan to get all the lamb juices and simmer for a minute or two stirring.
  4. Add the wine, stock, rosemary and chopped onion to the pot.
  5. Cook for 6 hours on high.
