  • 1 splash olive oil

  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar

  • 1 tomatoes

  • 2 cloves garlic crushed

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard


  1. Chop tomato and cucumber into small cubes and arrange in half an avocado minus stone. (This bit on its own usually works for the kids.)
  2. For grown-ups, add dressing to the cucumber/tomato mix first: mix four parts olive oil to one part white wine vinegar with one tsp Dijon mustard and a couple of crushed cloves of garlic.
  3. Season to taste.

Handy Hint

As well as being tasty, this starter also helps lower high blood pressure!
