  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1 slice bread

  • 1 eggs

  1. Use a cutter to remove the shape from the bread (keep the middle too!). Shapes we like are stars, circles, 2 circles can make a snow man etc.
  2. Heat the tiny bit of oil in a pan and put on a medium heat. Put the bread with the hole into the pan and turn down to a low heat. Break the egg into the middle of the bread so that it spreads out to make the shape (it wont come out the bottom).
  3. It takes around 5 minutes to cook (enough time to wash up, pull washing out etc) and it must be on low so that the top is cooked before the top is burnt.
  4. When the egg is cooked, take it out of pan and serve whole. Our 3 year old likes to cut up herself then dip the crusts in ketchup. Bread comes out crispy and delicious.
