  • 1/2 pints milk

  • 1 pinch nutmeg (optional)

  • 30g mild cheese grated

  • 1 tbsp semolina heaped (or ground rice, for a gluten free version)

  • 1 handful frozen or fresh vegetables of your choice


  1. Mix semolina and milk in a small pan and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Add the vegetables and simmer for a few minutes to heat through.
  3. Stir in the cheese and nutmeg (if using), allow cheese to melt then put in a bowl.
  4. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
