  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 4 tbsp red lentils

  • 1 clove garlic crushed

  • 1 carrot grated

  • 1 tsp thyme


  1. Put 4 tablespoons red lentils, 1 grated carrot and 1 crushed clove of garlic in a frying pan with a dash of heated olive oil.
  2. Heat for a minute or two. Add 250 mls of hot water and simmer, stir lots to make sure it doesn't catch, takes about 20 minutes. Add cumin and thyme.

Handy Hint

Can be used for luch boxes, snacks, teas etc. It is really tasty.
