Pork sausages with mash

  • 1 splash milk

  • 450g pork sausage

  • 1/4 swede peeled and cut into small chunks

  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and cut into small chunks

  • 2 carrot peeled and cut into small chunks

  • 1 tbsp butter


  1. Place prepared vegetables into a large pan.
  2. Cover with boiling water and fast simmer with lid on for about 15-20 minutes until soft.
  3. Grill sausages under a preheated grill for 10-12 minutes turning occasionally.
  4. Drain the vegetables.
  5. Mash potatoes and vegetables with a knob of butter and a dash of milk.
  6. Serve with thick gravy and a small spoonful of mustard stirred through the mash and some steamed seasonal vegetables.
