Perfect flapjacks

  • 225g sugar

  • 115g flour

  • 2 tbsp syrup

  • 285g oats

  • 225g margarine

  • 1 handful apricots

  • 1 handful raisins or dates

  • 1 handful nuts


  1. Melt margarine and syrup in pan.
  2. Put all other ingredients in a bowl and mix.
  3. Combine melted ingredients into mix.
  4. Add any dried fruit if you wish.
  5. Cook for 20 minutes at 180C in a square tin.
  6. Remove from oven to cool.

Handy Hint

Silicone tray is excellent as you can pop it all out.
I use a pizza cutter to score the flapjacks before it has cooled then it breaks perfecrtly.

    You can make with Pure spread for a dairy free version, no nuts for a nut-free version - you get the idea.....
