  • 50g butter

  • 500g potato cooked and left over

  • 80g cheese grated

  • 1 handful onions (or chives) cooked and chopped

  • 500g cabbage cooked and left over


  1. Preheat oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Mash potatoes and chop cabbage and mix together. Add to saucepan with butter and season.
  3. Stir over low heat until butter has melted and mixed in. Add onions or chives. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer to buttered baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Heat for 15-20 minutes until cheese has browned.

Handy Hint

Can use kale or parsnips as substitutes too.
