  • 300ml double cream

  • 1 tin condensed milk

  • 1 ready-made sweet pastry case

  • 1 handful chocolate grated

  • 2 banana

  • 125g butter

  1. Put the butter and condensed milk into a saucepan and heat gently until the mixture combines and turns a golden colour (this should take about 15 minutes).
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly and add to the pastry case.
  3. Once it has cooled completely place the sliced bananas on top of the pie.
  4. Beat the whipped cream until stiff peaks are formed and spread it on top of the bananas.
  5. Grate chocolate over the banoffee pie for decoration.

nice and easy, but can be made easier by using the tins of ready caramelised condensed milk (made by nestle though, yikes!)

This dessert is so easy to make. By using a pastry case instead of crushed biscuits and butter it makes the overall taste not so sweet.
