Oat biscuits

  • 85g demerara sugar

  • 230g porridge oats

  • 140g margarine

  • 1 handful raisins (or dates)

  • 70g nuts chopped


  1. Heat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. Melt the margarine and stir into the dry ingredients.
  4. Press well into a greased baking tray. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Handy Hint

Divide into slices when you take the biscuits out of the oven and they're still soft. Then leave to cool.

    A great family favourite. They hardly make it into the biscuit tin as we love these! Very good for lunchboxes too.
