  • 50g self-raising flour

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • 25g butter or margarine

  • 80g mature cheddar cheese grated


  1. Mix all the ingredients together and knead a little until you have a ball.
  2. Roll out to about 2 1/2mm and cut into stars/rounds.
  3. Bake at 200C/Gas Mark 6 for about 8-10 minutes until they start to colour.
  4. They will still be quite soft but they do crisp up a bit more as they cool.

Handy Hint

Makes about 20 small biscuits. They tasta a bit like cheese straws.
