  • 2 tbsp tomato puree enough to cover the crust

  • 1 red onion sliced

  • 1 red pepper chopped

  • 1 ball mozzarella sliced, to taste

  • 5 slices pepperoni or thinly-sliced chorizo

  • 500g pastry ready made, puff or shortcrust


  1. Spread out pre-rolled pastry, or roll your own puff or shortcrust pastry.
  2. Spread tomato purée over the surface leaving a 2cm uncovered section all the way around the edge.
  3. Scatter one thinly sliced red pepper and one thinly sliced red onion on top of the purée.
  4. Place pieces of pepperoni or chorizo on top of this and finish up with grated mozzarella.
  5. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes at 200C.

Handy Hint

I usually serve with a salad…if your kids like pizza they will like this.

    Can be used as a vegetarian option by taking out the pepperoni/chorizo and adding a yellow of pepper.
