  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • 5 tbsp caster sugar

  • 2 tbsp golden syrup

  • 1 tbsp butter (to grease baking tin)

  1. Grease tin. Put the sugar and syrup into a saucepan over a medium heat. Bring the mixture to the boil, then let it simmer for 3-4 mins until it becomes golden brown.
  2. Take the pan off the heat, add the bicarb and mix in with a wooden spoon. When the mixture froths up, pour it into the baking tin right away.
  3. When the mixture has cooled, turn it out onto a chopping board and break into bitesized pieces.
  4. You can dip pieces into melted choc if you like! Leave to set on grease proof paper.

Easy, quick and delicious! Tastes just as good as a crunchie bar! Just be warned, you WILL scoff it all. Just don't blame me if you end up with a big dentists bill lol!
