  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 pints warm water or more if the mixture is looking dry- it needs to be moist

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 150ml sunflower oil or walnut oil

  • 85g wheatgerm

  • 1 tbsp blackstrap molasses

  • 4 tbsp linseeds

  • 285g oats

  • 115g mixed nuts

  • 115g raisins

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Then, add the honey, molasses, oil and water.
  3. Put into a large tin.
  4. Place in a moderate oven at about 180C for about 20-25 minutes until slightly brown.
  5. Slice into squares when warm and leave to cool.

Handy Hint

If you want more cinnamon, do add it because it is gorgeous. I sometimes add a couple of teaspoons of ginger if the girls have a cold. It you don't have mixed nuts in, you can add more linseeds or pumpkin and sesame seeds if you prefer and vice versa.
