  • 9oz caster sugar

  • 6oz syrup

  • 15oz oats

  • 9oz butter


  1. Melt the butter, syrup and sugar in a pan.
  2. Remove from heat, stir in oats.
  3. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and spoon the mixture onto it.
  4. Bake in the oven at 180C for 30 mins, until golden brown.

Handy Hint

Mark the flapjack into slices while it's still warm to make it easier to break up.

    In grams the recipe asks for 250g butter, 250g sugar, 170g syrup. 430g oats. I put in approximate amounts and used 3 tablespoons of syrup as that's what had left. They're fine.... maybe a little greasy so I'd probably use less butter next time.
