  • 200g cream cheese

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)

  • 200g white chocolate

  • 200g milk chocolate

  • 300g Oreos

  1. Put the Oreo buscuits into a blender and blitz until completely crushed and powdery. Mix in all of the cream cheese.
  2. Roll into balls and place on greaseproof paper, transfer to the fridge for half an hour.
  3. Melt the milk chocolate, and using toothpicks dip the truffle balls into the melted choc and then place them back on the greaseproof paper.
  4. Put them back in the fridge so that the chocolate covering can set.
  5. Melt the white chocolate and dip half of the truffles or make patterns using a fork, again, place back in the fridge to set for 10 mins and afterwards dust with a little cocoa powder to make them look 'expensive'.

Handy Hint

These make brilliant gifts for people, buy some mini-cupcake cases, a pretty box and you have yourself a wonderful personal gift for a loved one.

I have used this recipe lots of times and am always requested to make more !! it is so cheap and easy to do, you can make your truffles as fancy or as personal as you like, adding letters to each choc or spelling out little messages ( using writing icing) is a favourite.I make the truffles, put them in cute littel paper cases and buy a gift box, wrap up the gift box with ribbon and give it to people as an additional birthday or xmas present, it always goes down well !
