  • 175g cheese

  • 200g wholemeal flour

  • 225g unsmoked tofu

  • 125g margarine (soya if you want a vegan recipe)

  • 175g mushrooms

  • 90ml milk


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
  2. Make a pastry by cutting the margarine into the flour and binding it together with the milk or water.
  3. Roll out the pastry until it is about the thickness of a pound coin and cut into circles to fit a bun tray.
  4. Put the tofu, cheese and mushrooms into a blender and whiz up.
  5. Grease the bun tray, put in the pastry and spoon a small amount of mixture into each.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until cooked.

Handy Hint

This is a good recipe for protein if your child is not eating meat, and can be varied to include tomato on top, spices, beans etc.
