  • 1 tbsp dried basil

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 10 button mushrooms

  • 300g tagliatelle

  • 500g creme fraiche

  • 2 slices smoky bacon

  • 1 splash Worcestershire sauce


  1. Pop a splash of olive oil into a pan, and fry off some strips of bacon.
  2. Make them crispy. Add sliced mushrooms and crushed garlic, reduce a spash of wine into the mixture.
  3. Take the pan off the heat and add crème fraîche - allow mixture to bubble away until it covers the back of a wooden spoon.
  4. Boil pasta will a good pinch of salt.

Handy Hint

Always add pasta to sauce not the other way around, it sticks better!
