Pork chops with cheese (a  kids' favourite!)

  • 1 onion thickly sliced

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 4 tsp mayonnaise

  • 4 pork chops

  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan

  • 1 pinch ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
  4. Place in prepared baking dish and top each with onion slices. Spread onion with mayonnaise and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake, uncovered, for 45-60 mins, or until pork chops are tender.

    My mum used to make a similar but easier recipe of mixing grated cheese with wholegrain mustard and spreading over chops halfway through cooking. I'd ask for it practically every day, especially with a big blob of apple sauce on the side!

    Easy to make. Can be liquidised for babies. With mine I omitted the salt.

    Quick and easy favourite in our house. Goes down nicely with a glass of cider for the adults!
