  • 1 pinch cinnamon

  • 3 tbsp golden syrup

  • 220g rolled oats or porridge oats

  • 110g butter

  • 1 apples peeled, cored and chopped

  • 110g brown sugar


  1. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup together in a saucepan.
  2. Add the oats, apple and cinnamon and mix well.
  3. Put into a 20cm x 20cm tin, flatten down evenly and bake at 180C for 20 minutes.
  4. Mark out slices while still warm, and remove from tin when cooled.
