  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 500g lamb mince

  • 3 tsp ground coriander

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  1. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Form into long, rounded shapes and 'thread' onto a wooden skewer.
  3. Grill, oven cook or BBQ for approximately 10/15 minutes, until the meat is well cooked.

Handy Hint

This is good to eat with a greek salad (cucumber, tomatoes, olives & feta) and great for entertaining as it is quick.
You can also make smaller koftas for toddlers (just make sure you remove the skewer before giving to a child). My 18 month old son loves these.
