  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp caster sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 4fl oz water (hot to the touch)

  • 1 tsp quick yeast

  • 6oz plain flour


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 230C, Gas Mark 8.
  2. Sift flour, salt, yeast, sugar into a bowl.
  3. Make a well in centre and add olive oil and the hand hot water. Mix together to form a dough, adding more water/flour if neccessary.
  4. Transfer to a floured board and knead for 5 mins.
  5. Put to one side covered in lightly oiled clingfilm and leave for about 1 hour. The dough should have roughly doubled in size.
  6. Knead the air out of the dough and divide into 2 pieces. Roll into pizza shapes on a baking tray and add your favourite toppings
  7. Bake in the oven for about 10/12 mins

Handy Hint

make double dough and freeze till needed.
