  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1 tin tuna

  • 1 tin chickpeas sweetcorn, or kidney beans

  • 1 bottle pasta sauce tomato and onion

  • 1 bottle pasta sauce mushroom and wine

  1. In a large pan, put enough water, milk and butter to make up both packets of Pasta n Sauce.
  2. Bring to the boil, add the pasta, bring back to the boil then allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Then, add your tbsp of tomato purée, the drained tuna and tinned chickpeas or other veg.
  3. Mix it up and let it simmer for a few more minutes until it's absorbed most of the liquid.
  4. Serve on its own or with salad and garlic bread for a very cheap, nutritious meal.

Handy Hint

Use less than a whole tin if you want but we love chickpeas and they're a superfood!

    that looks utterly vile

Really simple, costs less than £2 to make, tasty and filling with a creamy low fat sauce. Can be made even lower fat by omitting the knob of butter.
