  • 1/2 pints milk

  • 1 tbsp honey or syrup, optional

  • 1 banana large, frozen


  1. Break up the frozen banana.
  2. Chuck it into the processor with the milk and a desert spoon of honey.
  3. Blitz for a minute. Serve.

Handy Hint

Get into the habit of chucking your past-it bananas into the freezer and you can make this recipe at a moment's notice. The honey/syrup is nice but not necessary (we like a squirt of date syrup in ours, maple would be nice too). These taste like thick, ice-creamy milkshakes, but have none of the rubbish in them!

    This also works with other frozen fruit. Bought frozen strawberries are good.
