  • 2 slices bacon

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 packet of shortcrust pastry (or make your own!)

  • 3 tbsp creme fraiche


  1. Line a quiche tin with pastry and bake blind for 10-15 mins at 180C/Gas Mark 6.
  2. In the meantime: Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in a pan.
  3. Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Add crème and beat again.
  4. Place bacon pieces on the baked pastry.
  5. Pour over your egg/cream mixture and spread evenly.
  6. Put back in the oven and cook for another 20 minutes.
  7. Serve the quiche lorraine with a light salad.

    This is the 'real' French quiche, which originates from the east of France, an area called 'Lorraine'. It is extremely simple and quick! Enjoy!
