  • 100g self-raising flour

  • 100g sugar

  • 2 tsp cocoa powder

  • 1 large eggs beaten

  • 100g stoned prunes finely chopped

  • 100g butter


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
  2. Grease an 8” cake tin or muffin tin (if you want to make separate little cakes).
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add the egg and sift in the flour.
  5. Add the prunes and the cocoa.
  6. Pour into the tin and bake for 20 mins (10-15 mins if making smaller cakes).
    Allow to cool. Decorate as required.

    Saw this on Big Cook Little Cook! Very handy as the sort of ingredients you'd have around the kitchen and is good for making with toddlers - err, not as an ingredient, but as "helpers" of course.
