  • 85g caster sugar

  • 120ml white wine vinegar

  • 1/2 cinnamon stick

  • 820g tinned peaches

  • 6 cloves

  • 235ml peach syrup


  1. Put the peach syrup into saucepan.
  2. Add cloves, sugar, wine vinegar and cinnamon and heat until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add peaches and bring to boil then simmer for 4 minutes.
  4. Leave to cool in bowl then refrigerate at least 24 hours.
  5. Serve in a shallow dish (pref. with Christmas bird and all other trimmings).

Handy Hint

Quantities are not crucial.
