  • 120ml milk

  • 115g sugar

  • 115g golden syrup

  • 1 tsp mixed spice

  • 2 tsp bicarb of soda

  • 1 eggs beaten

  • 115g oats

  • 340g plain flour

  • 85g butter

  • 3 banana mashed


  1. Cream the butter and sugar, add the rest and mix well.
  2. Bake in a lined loaf tin in a oven at 140C for 1.5 hours

Handy Hint

Alternatively you can make at least 12 muffins out of this mix by reducing the cooking time.
Works best with old bananas - I almost want them go go past it so I can make this!
