  • 1 large onion peeled and sliced

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 large carrot peeled and chopped

  • 400g tin baked beans

  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes

  • 8 sausages (or roughly 2 per adult, 1 per child)

  • 1 mushroom or pepper chopped (optional)


  1. Warm the onions and carrot in a glug of olive oil over a medium heat until softening (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of ginger, and 1 teaspoon of honey.
  3. Add the sausages, tomatoes and beans into the pan, and any other vegetables being used.
  4. Stir well, then place into a casserole dish and put into a pre-heated oven at 180C for about 45 minutes. The sausage will melt in your mouth.

Handy Hint

Serve with green vegetables, noodles or potatoes!
