Win £200 to spend at a supermarket of your choice
To celebrate the launch of the #meatyissues campaign, Love Food Hate Waste is giving away £200-worth of supermarket vouchers to one lucky Mumsnetter
It's no secret that Britons love meat - whether we're grabbing a sandwich on the go, treating ourselves to a steak or tucking into a traditional roast dinner with the family. But sadly we don't always make the most of the meat we buy. Every year, we throw away 34,000 tonnes of beef - which is equivalent to 300 million beef burgers, according to figures released by Love Food Hate Waste.
The research shows that much of this waste could be avoided through taking small steps at home. Things like planning meals in advance, storing food correctly, understanding date labels, serving the right portions and cooking with leftovers could really help make a difference.
That's why Love Food Hate Waste is launching the #meatyissues campaign - with farmer and television presenter Adam Henson - to encourage us all to make the most of the meat we buy.
Love Food Hate Waste will be sharing its favourite tips, tricks and leftover recipes to help us all reduce the amount of meat we throw away at home, saving us money and helping the environment along the way.
WIN! One lucky Mumsnetter will win a £200 supermarket voucher to use at the store of their choice, courtesy of Love Food Hate Waste.
