"Good allrounder but not terribly exciting"

We have a Toyota Avensis estate. The room in the boot is great, as you'd expect from an estate car but I think that Mondeo/A4/Passat estates are probably a bit bigger.

It's comfortable inside and long distance journeys are fine.

It's quite economical on fuel compared to others with engines of similar sizes.

No room in the back for more than two large carseats, not a problem for us as we have two children, one of whom only needs a booster anyway.

This is my husband's company car, chosen because it's cheaper than other similarly sized cars on tax.

As a family car I'd recommend it, it ticks all the boxes for long and short distance family journeys.

It's just a wee bit dull, but for it's purpose it's great.

    "Lovely spacious and reliable car"

Really reliable, not had any problems since buying 2nd hand in 2008. Loads of leg room in front and back and massive boot. Only downside to boot is that as a saloon there's no parcel shelf so the boot is very deep but not very tall so sometimes have to squash tall things in!
