Guest Campaigns: August 2019

rosie campaign

Here at MNHQ, we think it makes sense to use the not-inconsiderable might of the Mumsnet collective for the greater good. That's why we regularly exchange links and public support with charities and pressure groups in areas Mumsnetters are interested in, such as special needs provision, child poverty, childcare, parenting, breastfeeding, maternity care and relationship support.

Smile Train – #ReadySetSmiles

Struggling to keep your kids entertained this summer?

The international children’s charity, Smile Train, is challenging kids across the UK to take part in #ReadySetSmiles – a campaign which encourages them to host family-friendly fundraising activities over the school holidays, whilst raising money for a good cause.

Be it a bake sale, a ticketed sports day, or a sponsored silence, send an image of your kids doing good to @SmileTrainUk using #ReadySetSmiles and any money they raised to their donation page online.

All monies raised will provide free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive care to children living with clefts – helping to give them a brand new forever smile.

Bookmark Reading Charity – Back to School with Bookmark

In England, 1 in 4 children leave primary school each year unable to read to the expected standard. These children often
struggle for the rest of their lives. Bookmark Reading is a literacy charity helping children develop the reading skills they need to succeed in school and beyond – and we need your support! We’re calling on Mumsnetters to go #BacktoSchoolwithBookmark and become a reading volunteer.

Visit our website to find out more about our reading programmes and sign up today, so that you can provide one-to-one reading support in a local primary school.

You could change a child’s story.
