Guest campaigns: August 2017
Here at MNHQ, we think it makes sense to use the not-inconsiderable might of the Mumsnet collective for the greater good. That's why we regularly exchange links and public support with charities and pressure groups in areas Mumsnetters are interested in, such as special needs provision, child poverty, childcare, parenting, breastfeeding, maternity care and relationship support.

Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes: National Blood Bikes Day
This week, the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes promote the tireless effort of over 2,700 volunteers who spare their time supporting the NHS with a volunteer motorcycle courier service. This service is supported by a network of fundraisers, coordinators and drivers who all donate their time to get the job done. All of their work is funded by means of public donations, grants and corporate sponsorship. They would love more regular donations. All of the work is undertaken by volunteers from the local communities which the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes serve, and we would love more to join us.

Meningitis Research Foundation: the MenACWY campaign
The MenACWY vaccine campaign aims to get the Meningitis Research Foundation's lifesaving message across to young people. The message is: get vaccinated against a deadly type of meningitis that is spreading. The MenACWY vaccine was introduced for teenagers and young adults in 2015 to stop a rapid rise in a new and particularly deadly strain of meningococcal meningitis and septicaemia (MenW) in the UK. After two years campaigning, this year the organisation are turning our attention to mothers – as research shows they are the health keepers of the family.
The organisation are leading their campaign with a case study, Sharon, whose heart breaking story warns other mums of the need to book an appointment and get their children vaccinated.
We're harnessing the might of Mumsnet and putting it behind causes close to your heart. They range from This Is My Child and Let Girls Be Girls, to our Miscarriage Care and We Believe You campaigns, and our campaign to change how Britain's libel laws affect online publishers like us.
Your input is vital, so please do keep contributing your ideas and observations on the campaigns topic in Talk.
