About the book

Queen Victoria: a headstrong 18-year-old girl that grew to become one of the most memorable, unshakeable and powerful women in history.

The official companion to ITV's hugely popular new drama, The Victoria Letters delves into the private writings of the young Queen Victoria, painting a vivid picture of the personal life of one of England's greatest monarchs.

The Victoria Letters was written by author and Victoria historical consultant, Helen Rappaport, and also includes a foreword by acclaimed novelist Daisy Goodwin, who wrote the script for TV series. This captivating narrative reveals Victoria's inner feelings about suitors, family dramas and court scandals during her reign.
Full of beautiful photography from the series and original images from the era, the book takes us behind the palace doors to reveal the girl behind the Queen.
