Rattle by Fiona Cummins
We gave away 50 copies of Rattle, a thriller about a serial killer with a rather disturbing obsession, and one of the titles in our Crime and Thriller Book Club.
About the book
This serial killer lives two lives. In one, he's just like anyone else, but in the other, he's the caretaker of his family's macabre museum. Now the time has come to add to his collection, so he's on the hunt. Only those with nerves of steel and a night light should take on this terrifying cat-and-mouse game between a sinister collector and a troubled detective.
Set in London's Blackheath, Rattle explores the seam of darkness that runs through us all; the struggle between light and shadow, redemption and revenge.
It is a glimpse into the mind of a sinister psychopath. And it's also a story about not giving up hope when it seems that all hope is already lost.
Obsessed with crime and thrillers? Rattle is the second in Mumsnet and Thin Blue Spine's Crime and Thriller book club. Get involved and find out what other books you could win.
About the author
Fiona Cummins is an award-winning former Daily Mirror Showbiz journalist and a graduate of the Faber Academy Writing A Novel course. Fiona began writing this novel at her lowest point when her son was diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening illness. She wrote at his bedside in intensive care. Since then, he has thankfully made a full recovery, and Fiona has written one of the creepiest books we've ever heard of.
We ask all winners to share their thoughts about the book on the discussion thread. Everyone who gives detailed answers on Rattle by midday Monday 10 April will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.
