Book giveaway: Polly and the Puffin 2 'The Stormy Day'
This giveaway is sponsored by Hachette
Polly and the Puffin is Jenny Colgan's debut children's series, following Polly's adventures with her best friend Neil the puffin, perfect for children aged 5+. (Fans of Jenny's fiction for adults might recognise Neil from The Little Beach Street Bakery!)
In the second book in the series, Polly and the Puffin: The Stormy Day, Polly and Neil are stuck inside on a rainy day and have to find ways to keep busy until they can go outside and play. Gorgeously illustrated and packed with fun activities, The Stormy Day is the perfect book for braving boring days indoors and reading aloud together.
What readers say:
'A delightful little children's book – a lovely gift and great follow-up to the two Little Beach Street Bakery books where Neil the puffin was first introduced.'
'Having read Jenny Colgan's Little Beach Street Bakery books (where Neil the puffin originated), it was nice to read the story of Polly and the Puffin to my grandchildren. I will be reading it to them again soon.'
'We all fell in love with Neil the puffin in The Little Beach Street Bakery, and again in Summer at Little Beach Street Bakery. Jenny has now written the most delightful children's story about him.'
About the author:
Jenny Colgan is the author of numerous bestselling women's fiction novels, including The Little Beach Street Bakery. Her 2012 novel Meet Me at the Cupcake Café was a Sunday Times Top 10 bestseller, and won the Melissa Nathan Award for Comedy Romance 2012.
Jenny splits her time between Scotland and France where she lives with her husband and three children. Wallace is four and likes calamari, trampolining and making loud announcements about just how he will run the world when he is Spiderman; Michael-Francis is nearly two and likes singing lalala, tucking bears under his arms and peering dubiously at new food, and Delphie is brand new and likes sleeping and the way the sun moves across the tree leaves. The Polly and the Puffin series is Jenny's first foray into children's books.
