There’s nothing quite like curling up with a good book - and reading is one of the most important habits you can encourage in your little’uns.

That’s why Scholastic are looking for bloggers to run Book Clubs in their child’s school, to help foster a love of reading in all children. As a thank you for helping out and blogging about your experience, they’re offering a £200 John Lewis voucher to five lucky bloggers.

Book Clubs get books into the hands of every child, reaching children who might not otherwise visit libraries and bookshops. With support from teachers and parents, children choose the books *they* want to read, discovering the pleasure and power of reading along the way. Finding the right book at the right time can light a spark within children that motivates them to read more, understand more, and read joyfully - and when children self-select their own reading, they’re five times more likely to read the whole book.

What’s more, when children, parents and teachers order books from Scholastic Book Clubs, their school earns 20% of every £10 spent in free rewards to spend on resources and books to benefit the whole school, making the Clubs a great way to fundraise for a school as part of a PTA. They contain all the best new books for children, many at hugely discounted prices, and are delivered free to school. From the newest David Walliams, to great value bookpacks, children’s classics and non-fiction, Scholastic Book Clubs contain a curated list of the best books from all the leading publishers.

If you reckon your DC’s school would benefit from a Scholastic Book Club, drop them an email at talktous@scholastic.co.uk with details of your blog and why you want to get involved.
